Children are not a subject of the EU's sphere of authority. Against this background, ministers and/or high-level government officials meet, exchange views and discuss the strategies and best practices on children's issues in the context of EU policies and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. In view of his objectives the Group maintains links of exchange and cooperation on a European and an international level.The Hungarian presidency put on focus the right of the child to grow up in family.
