The international conference on the future of audiovisual industry to be organized by the Ministry of National Development on the 19-20th April, 2011 in Budapest will be a key event of the Hungarian EU Presidency regarding digital issues and challenges. The overall aim of the event is to provide a forum for discussions about key elements of the online content industry’s competitiveness, such as copyright, business models and social and cultural aspects, including archives in the digital era, by bringing together decision-makers and stakeholders.
Organizer / Ministry: Ministry of National Development
Location: Néprajzi Múzeum
Address: Magyarország 1055 Budapest, Kossuth Lajos tér 12.
Finding the right balance between increasing market competition and sustaining cultural diversity shall be in the focus of the event.
The conference also provides an outstanding opportunity to present challenges related to social issues: accessibility to digital content (citizens) and the increase of the number of digitally literate people with the help of audiovisual tools. In addition to government representatives we expect attendees from the audiovisual industry and EU Institutions.
