The Hungarian Ministry of Public Administration and Justice is organising an International Data Protection Conference co-financed by the European Commission and to be held on 16-17 June 2011, in Budapest. The aim of the conference is to examine and evaluate current practice as well as to debate in detail future dilemmas of data protection. At the conference separate panels will be devoted to the discussion of relevant topics such as the free movement of personal data within the single market, the challenges of data protection in an info-communications environment or the new principles of data protection; the need for a single data protection regime in the European Union will also be examined.
